Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of SafeLine, a call-screening and VoIP service provided by IXBunny UK Limited (company number 17049361), registered in the United Kingdom. By signing up or using SafeLine, you agree to these terms.

1. About the Service

SafeLine is a VoIP-based service that helps protect vulnerable individuals from nuisance, scam and unwanted calls by screening unknown callers before they reach the user's home phone. Trusted callers are connected directly; unknown callers are answered first by a registered carer via a Softphone SIP app, who may handle the call or transfer it to the house.

2. Equipment and Connectivity

To keep an existing landline number, the end user must either connect a compatible SIP handset or use a PSTN adapter to connect to IXBunny's SIP servers. SafeLine is a VoIP service and therefore requires a working broadband internet connection and mains power at all times. We do not guarantee service during internet or power outages.

3. Emergency Calls

We provide access to emergency services (999 and 112) in line with Ofcom requirements for VoIP providers. However, because SafeLine is delivered over the internet, emergency calls will only work when:

• the user's broadband connection is active and stable;
• the user's equipment has power; and
• the user's registered address and location information are up to date.

You must keep the registered address accurate. If the service is used at a different location, emergency services may be directed to the registered address. Where possible, an additional means of contacting emergency services (such as a mobile phone) should always be available.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are registering on behalf of a vulnerable person, you confirm that you have authority to manage the service for them and that you will act in their best interests.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

SafeLine is billed monthly at the price shown on our website at the time of signup. Optional add-ons such as Mobile Forwarding are billed in addition. All prices include VAT where applicable. Payments are taken in advance. You may cancel at any time; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use SafeLine for any unlawful purpose, including fraud, harassment, or interception of calls to which you are not entitled. You must not attempt to bypass our security, misuse emergency services, or use the service in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

7. Service Availability and Changes

We aim to keep SafeLine available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend, change or discontinue features for maintenance, legal or commercial reasons. We will give reasonable notice where possible.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, IXBunny UK Limited's liability is limited to the amount paid for SafeLine in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for losses caused by internet outages, power failures, misuse of the service, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software and materials provided as part of SafeLine are owned by IXBunny UK Limited or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to use the service for personal or family use.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the service by giving notice. We may terminate or suspend access immediately if you breach these terms. On termination, your access to the dashboard and service will end.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Ofcom Compliance

IXBunny UK Limited operates SafeLine in accordance with applicable Ofcom regulations for electronic communications services, including rules on access to emergency services, number portability, complaint handling and transparency of contract terms.
